= History =
The idea for a massive artificial sea dates back to before Horizon's End was released. The first thing [[_Longy]] Did whenever the server was released was begin progress on an artificial sea on [[Aret]]. However, it was originally being constructed in the northeast territory that now contains [[Auriko]] but was moved southward to [[Orlandia]]. There was also progress on another sea on the west edge of the planet, but this lake was never completed.
# The lake took multiple years to complete. 

The sea is over two kilometer long, and stretches across three claims. Whenever one of these claims fell, [[Vask Authority]] took it, and attempted to destroy the lake by filling it with sand, this was one of the main reasons for [[Imperial Nova]]'s involvement in the [[Ilios Alliance]] Wars.

= Specifications = 
The footprint of the Ikaria Sea spreads 2,300 Meters West-East, and 1,600 Meters North-South, and is roughly 3 to 5 blocks deep.
