= Internal Politics =
On Horizon's End, Arimfea was founded as a constitutional monarchy. The Sultan was the head of state and appointed the Grand Vizier to serve as his head of government, who in turn appointed Viziers together with the Sultan. The combination of these roles formed the Vizier Council and collectively decided on all matters of state, though officially the Sultan would have final say in all decisions. Due to the inactivity of the Sultan the Grand Vizier effectively ruled alone, as it was constitutionally the supreme position in power in the Sultan's absence.

After Arimfea's collapse, the Arimfean Remnant has yet to reform any type of government. Though the positions of Grand Vizier and Vizier still exist, they remain vacant. On the 26th of July, 2024, Sultan Middosk (officially known as Raimus II), publically deemed Vortexion a traitor and appointed [[Avan Brightearth]] as Grand Vizier. This position was later effectively abolished after Middosk internally announced that there was no benefit to maintaining a constitutional form of government. The Sultan has ruled as an absolute monarch since, with no other members of the nation having any say in state affairs.
