Ion Turrets are light weapons similar to the Webifier, only available on the Cruiser and reducing speed by 65% for 7 seconds on hit. Ion Turret projectiles are very slow, and deal extremely low damage. These turrets are notable in their high Area Shield Damage Multipliers, meaning a Cruiser can breach an Area Shield which is being constantly fed max (without bugs, this is 1,000 E/s) Power in 90s.

Ion turrets require Charged Shells as ammunition.

Minimum block count: 13500 for Cruisers
