Vask is the third planet located in the Regulus system. This planet is so rich in copper that massive veins of the metal run far and wide across its mountainous surface. The southern ocean is among the largest continuous bodies of water in the Galaxy.

History[edit | edit source]

Vask was originally a planet on Horizon's End's precursor, Star Legacy. When selecting the planets to be included on Horizon's End's launch, some planets (including Vask) from Star Legacy were reused with the permission of the creators of those planets.

Notable Landmarks[edit | edit source]

Vasost[edit | edit source]

Vasost is an NPC trade outpost located on the northwest side of Vask; it is one of eleven safezones on the server.
When visiting this outpost, players can interact with the bazaar, buy crates, and start daily commissions.

Texas[edit | edit source]

Texas is a large base in the east of Vask, owned by Lonestar and led by XiJinping_. It is the capital of Lonestar, and one of the largest hubs for new player recruitment on Horizon's End.
Texas offers extensive amenities to new players, including cheap starships, industry, and support from experienced members of Lonestar in learning Horizon's End mechanics.

Augustgrad[edit | edit source]

Augustgrad is a settlement in the south of Vask, owned by Vega and led by WitherV. Its primary asset is an enormous solar charger, totaling approximately 30,000 solar panels, which makes it the largest single solar array on Horizon's End.
Used frequently by Vega during the heyday of planet mining, Augustgrad has been increasingly disused since the May 2024 mining re-balance, which favored asteroid mining.

Aschonia[edit | edit source]

Aschonia was a city project in the southwest of Vask, led by AdelieXY. Founded in December 2023, Aschonia was originally a member of RentDueYesterday, transferring to the Andurian Federation alongside the rest of RentDueYesterday in January 2024. AdelieXY disbanded Aschonia in April 2024, in favor of New Aschonia.
Aschonia was never completed. It is now claimed as a nation outpost of Arimfea.

New Aschonia[edit | edit source]

New Aschonia was a city project in the north of Vask, led by AdelieXY. Founded in April 2024, New Aschonia was a member of several different nations over its relatively short lifespan: the Aschonian Republic (AdelieXY's own nation), Imperial Nova, and Vask Authority.
AdelieXY elected to leave Horizon's End in June 2024, leading New Aschonia to purge a month later in July 2024. Its territory was claimed by Arion in the form of the settlement "Onions", owned by killer666dog.
