Iconia is a settlement located on Omri Island, Lioda, in the Sirius System. It is a member settlement of Radiance and is led by its founder, Archillelas.

Iconia was founded on 14 May 2024 under the original name Zenithar. The settlement later adopted the name Iconia as its civic identity developed within Radiance.

History

Founding

Iconia was founded by Archillelas, a settler from New BakerStreet. After leaving New BakerStreet, Archillelas set out in search of a new frontier and eventually discovered Omri Island on Lioda. The island became the site of a new settlement, originally established as Zenithar.

Shadow and Radiance

During its early development, Zenithar was part of the nation of Shadow. Following the Radiant Revolution on 3 July 2024, Shadow was succeeded by Radiance, and every active settlement of Shadow joined the newly formed nation. Zenithar joined Radiance during this transition and has remained a member settlement of Radiance since.

Renaming to Iconia

Zenithar was later renamed Iconia to mark the settlement's shift from its founding period into a more distinct civic identity. The new name reflects Iconia's growth, organization, and long-term place within Radiance.

Government

The government of Iconia operates under the Charter and the authority of the Archon. Each office exists to organize the settlement, coordinate public work, and serve its citizens.

Archon

The Archon is the Head of State and highest government authority of Iconia. The Archon directs the settlement, appoints senior officials, and ensures that every branch of government follows the Charter.

Iconian Senate

The Iconian Senate debates and votes on laws, public projects, and government policy. It serves as Iconia's main deliberative body.

The Chancellor organizes the Senate and acts as the Archon's deputy when required.

Executive Directorates

The Executive Directorates manage Iconia's organized public work. Each Directorate is led by a Director, supported by Officers and citizens working in relevant jobs.

Iconia's Directorates are:

Civic Works Directorate
Resources & Treasury Directorate
Engineering Directorate
Starfleet Directorate
Public Order Directorate

This structure allows Iconia to divide responsibilities clearly while keeping its citizens focused on common goals such as construction, resource management, engineering, defense, and public administration.

Geography

Iconia is located on Omri Island on Lioda, the third planet of the Sirius System. Lioda is known for its steep mountains, verdant plains, oceans, marine life, and gem-rich chalky cliffs.

Culture

Iconia's primary civic culture is English-speaking. Turkish is also present as a secondary cultural element within the settlement, reflecting part of Iconia's community identity.

Iconia's demonym is Iconian, and its motto is Forging unity across the stars.

Symbolism

Iconia is represented by its settlement emblem, used as the main visual mark of the city and its government.
