The Lonestar-Fortuna War is a conflict declared by Fortuna Sequence on Sunday, 2 August 2026 [UTC].

Timeline

The war was formally declared by the Fortuna Sequence at 6:41 am [UTC], on August 2nd of 2026.

At 7:36 AM [UTC] that same day, kleesaria of the Fortuna Sequence initiated a siege on the Axis Tax Beacon and Fuel Depot in her Missile Frigate, dubbed "Dysphoria." These were captured with very little resistance from Lonestar.

Seven hours later, Lonestar forces followed a Tagged kleesaria home in her Missile Frigate (Taken "Lonestar hunting," as she so kindly called late night excursions to bomb settlements) and, as she parked in an Area Shield within it, attacked the Sequence's main "noob settlement," Australia. This ultimately led to the loss of one of Fortuna Sequence's four Medium Reactor ships, AWS84-1M, "Dysphoria."

Early on the third of August, Lonestar's leadership invited Fortuna Sequence's high command (Jangiot, NoMoreThumbs, and kleesaria) to resolve the conflict diplomatically. Eyrzeke set forth a request for 108 stacks of Iron Blocks, 18 stacks of Scordite Blocks, 9 stacks of Vanadium Blocks, and 1 stack of Zircon Blocks. Or, alternatively, "two Medium Cores and some scordite/vanadium." This request was not fulfilled.

On the ninth of August, Hextagon of Lonestar once again requested the one of the remaining four of the Sequence's Medium Reactor Cores, this time at an ultimatum of 48 hours. As this would effectively cripple the nation's military, all three of the Sequence's leaders declined this offer. Instead, they spoke with Vegan leader MaidPierce, whose goals of amity between the Sequence and Vega following the Vega-Fortuna War aligned with Jangiot's.

On August 10th, it is believed that FarmerInArmor, a Mercenary at the time, was paid to harass the same settlement once again in his Assault Gunship. NoMoreThumbs, in a completely understandable escalation, piloted ItemItemItemItemItemItem, a second Missile Frigate, and sunk him just outside Eden. Lonestar, who was fully formed and ready to attack the Sequence once FarmerInArmor successfully escalated, jumped into Eden. Kleesaria reached out to Vega for support. They responded with a fleet consisting of an Interdictor Corvette, a Missile Frigate, a Logistics Corvette, 2 Stasis Corvettes, and an Assault Corvette. Following this, Vega allied Fortuna Sequence. This was the last major conflict in the war.

Although the war never formally ended, on the 29th of August, 2026, Fortuna Sequence dissolved. This effectively ended the conflict, as surviving members joined either the Lonestarian or Vegan blocs, which were already in direct conflict.
