ItsAlreadyGold (or simply "Gold") is an active player and senior moderator on Horizon's End. He is known for his diplomatic and industrial work, as well as his leadership and engagement with the server staff team. Gold serves as a member of the National Forum of Cortesia Del Mar, and is presently a candidate for Vice President.

Leadership

star_litty has been near-continually a member of Radiance leadership since the Radiant Revolution in July 2024. Her tenure has seen Radiance grow substantially, and she is credited with stabilizing Radiance's large community in the tumultuous months following the Revolution. She is presently a member of the Radiance "1st Quartet", a leadership council consisting of herself, _omni, Kay_2905, and Astrobolt.

Cicatrix

star_litty is the founder of the city of Cicatrix on Aerach, as well as a major contributor to its building and development.

Ilios Alliance

star_litty and _omni founded the Ilios Alliance in April 2023. The alliance's original membership of Shadow (now Radiance), Orovika, and Cortesia Del Mar all remain part of the alliance to this day.
As of the start of the Long Peace, the Ilios Alliance is the dominant server power pole.

Horizon's End

Staff Tenure

star_litty has been a member of Horizon's End staff (alternately a Helper or a Moderator) for two separate spans of time. In this position, she has been regarded for a community-focused approach to staffing, as well as for playing a role in revitalizing the staff team following some moderate internal dysfunction in August and September 2024.

History

Orovika

Early Horizon's End

ItsAlreadyGold began playing Horizon's End as soon as the server launched in April 2022; he joined the server alongside the nation of Orovika, with whom he had previously played on StarLegacy since 2019.

Alongside the rest of Orovika, Gold largely sat out the early wars of Horizon's End (such as the Cheth Wars), pursuant to a policy of Orovikan neutrality. In this time, he instead devoted his efforts to a settlement project called Goldburg, located first on Gahara in July 2022, and subsequently moved to Kovfefe in August 2022.

In April 2023, Gold, alongside fellow longstanding Orovikan GenBukkit, would begin work on a new settlement in northwest Aret called Auriko, which quickly became a critical industrial base of Orovika. Auriko was the basis for Orovika's entry into the Aret Treaty Organization alongside Imperial Nova and the Amcaran Social Republic, which was a major anti-piracy alliance in which Gold was an active participant.

It was also at this time that Gold first joined the Horizon's End staff team as a Helper. Gold was subsequently promoted to Moderator just a month later in May 2023, marking one of the fastest promotions in Horizon's End staff history.

Modern Horizon's End

Shortly following the Frontier Update, Gold moved his attention to another new settlement project in June 2023, founding the settlement Aureki alongside GenBukkit in north Ilius. His third active settlement project since the server began, Aureki would continue a pattern of Gold switching settlements frequently within Orovika.

On 3 July 2023, the sudden return of players from Cortesia Del Mar to Horizon's End prompted Gold, who had once been a member of the nation on StarLegacy, to assist the group in establishing a presence on Horizon's End; Gold invited the settlement of Setra Maria to Orovika, and provided it with a large quantity of material and technical aid in its first weeks.

End of Orovikan Neutrality

Main articles: Shadow-Orovika War and Horizon Federation-RentDueYesterday War

Gold's prominence on Horizon's End would grow as the policy of Orovikan neutrality came to an end with the Shadow-Orovika War, which pitted Orovika against the new nation of Shadow, led by Ae0n and spurred on by recently-recruited Shadow general Noix444. This war saw Gold become more active in SvS, and engage in successful diplomacy with members of Shadow, especially star_litty.

Following the end of the Shadow-Orovika War, Gold struck an informal anti-piracy alliance with Imperial Nova the same evening, to contend with the newly-created threat of RentDueYesterday, many of whose players had been previously involved in the Shadow-Orovika War.

The departure of GenBukkit from Orovika on 4 October 2023, and his brief return to piracy alongside RentDueYesterday for the remainder of the month, left Gold and _omni the chief active executives of Orovika. Gold was instrumental in the creation and administration of the Horizon Federation for the full duration of its lifespan, and subsequently aided in the creation of the peacetime Ilios Alliance alongside former enemy Shadow (later Radiance) and the freshly-spawned nation of Cortesia Del Mar.

Head/Senior Moderator of Horizon's End

On 23 February 2024, server director GutinGongoozler announced changes to the structure of the Horizon's End staff team; among these changes was the creation of the Head Moderator position, to which Gold and MaidPierce were jointly appointed.

Gold's tenure as head moderator is one of the things he is best known for on Horizon's End, having served in this position for several notable events in server administrative history, most notably the Vask Authority Leak.

Gold has retained this position (now renamed "senior moderator" as of 1 January 2025) to the present.

Cortesia Del Mar

On 16 October 2024, citing a desire to play with a more active community, Gold, alongside the settlement of Astolfo (whose players included _omni, TheDioriteGod, and liquidreality), elected to amicably leave Orovika to join Radiance, with whom Orovika had been allies within the Ilios Alliance for seven months. While Astolfo would remain in Radiance, Gold would subsequently join Cortesia Del Mar instead a month later, on 10 November.

On 25 November 2024, Gold would be elected to the National Forum of Cortesia Del Mar, which is the nation's legislature. He is now running in a special election for the Vice Presidency of the nation on a ticket with oko, with the election scheduled to take place from 11-13 January.

Within Cortesia Del Mar, Gold has focused most intently on developing his personal station One in the Ilios System, as well as expanding Cortesia's supercapital capabilities. In the #general-discussion channel of the Horizon's End "Staff & Friends" Discord server, Gold described his engagement with One as an attempt to "try to meaningfully engage with the industry side of the server", and confirmed that "y enjoyment of the server has skyrocketed as a result of that decision and I've had a lot of things to do instead of the 'damn, I'm bored, I'm going to do something else' that I used to fall into".
