Chat Channels

Players can switch between different chat channels using the following commands:

Channel Primary Command Alias Requirements / Notes
Local /chat local /l Default nearby chat.
Global /chat global /g Server-wide chat.
System /chat system /sy Only works within your current star system.
Planet /chat planet /pc Only works while actively piloting on a planet.
Crew /chat crew /crew Only works while piloting a ship.
Fleet /chat fleet /fc Requires being in an active fleet.
Settlement /chat settlement /sc Requires being a member of a settlement.
Nation /chat nation /nc Requires being a member of a nation.
Ally /chat ally /ac Requires being in a nation with active allies.

Direct Messaging & Mail

For private communication and offline messaging:

  • Direct Message: /msg <player> <message> — Sends a private whisper to an online player.
  • Send Mail: /mail send <player> <message> — Delivers a message to a player (works if they are offline).
  • Archive Mail: /mail archive — Delists/archives a mail message from your active inbox.

Broadcasts

High-visibility announcements sent to entire factions:

  • Settlement Broadcast: /settlement broadcast <message>
  • Nation Broadcast: /nation broadcast <message>
