Claimable Systems are a type of system in deep space where nations can take control of a system by completing certain objectives. Once claimed, these systems cannot be sieged unless the nation controlling them has insufficient power.
Power System
The power system is based off player kills, and designed to give the defender an advantage given the passive gain of power. Like many factions servers, each player will have a set amount of max-power, which is 20, and min-power, which is -20. Players passively gain power during time online, at a rate of 5 power per hour. They will then lose 5 power after combat-related deaths, with a 5 minute window between loss periods, which over time can make their nation vulnerable to siege.
Claiming a System
Under the new Soveriegnty system, nations will be able to complete certian objectives to gain control over certain systems if they have sufficient power. Once they achieve control, they will recieve powerful rewards, such as ability to craft Large Reactor Cores and various nation buffs. These claims function similar to faction claims on some other servers, becoming siegeable by other nations if a nations power dips below a certain level. The power required to claim a system is 10 power plus 10*Number of systems your nation owns, a table is shown below to illustrate this.
| Number of Systems Owned | Minimum Power to Guarantee Control of Existing Claims | Minimum Total Power to Claim a System |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | 0 | 10 |
| 1 | 10 | 30 |
| 2 | 30 | 60 |
| 3 | 60 | 100 |
| 4 | 100 | 150 |
| 5 | 150 | 210 |
