AdelieXY

AdelieXY joined Horizons End on April 7th 2023. He is known for his membership of the pirate nation RentDueYesterday, and his eventual betrayal of the daughter nation Vask Authority. He held a community presidential election, and gave a campaign speech at the city of Orlandia. He beat GutinGongoozler by 8 votes to become the first "president" of Horizons End.

Upon joining Horizons End, AdelieXY joined his brothers (EmeraldsGaming's) settlement Acracia in the former nation GutinWarCult. Upon wanting to do other things with his life, AdelieXY moved to Krio to create a settlement of his own, which he called Hielo. He recruited a player named Astro_Will, who eventually was sunk by pirate FellOffBridge and quit the game. After this, AdelieXY moved on from his settlement on Krio and created one on Lioda. AdelieXY participated in the defence of Carthage, following Arimfeas blockading of the city. During this time, AdelieXY's and FellOffBridge's rivalry and disdain for each other ramped up. Upon wanting to be a combat oriented player, Adelie faced a tough dillema of wanting to stay with his friends in GutinWarCult, and wanting to fight other players. Eventually he chose to join the former nation Shadow in order to fight others. It is during this time that he was saved by FellOffBridge during a large battle. This marked the begining of a tentative friendship between the two players.

Upon Adelie's desire for even more blood, FellOffBridge invited him to the nation RentDueYesterday, a nation founded on the basis of indiscriminate piracy and terror. AdelieXY began to become a toxic player with FellOffBridge. At first, FellOffBridge and AdelieXY were distant, however through combat they grew to be better friends. It is during this time that AdelieXY met _omni, a player he has been good friends with ever since. AdelieXY moved his settlement once again to Vask, christening his new settlement Aschonia. This settlement would be the main base of operations for the rest of the RDY War. Upon moving to Vask, Adelie talked a player named _Clone1137, and eventually invited him to RDY, an invitation which he would accept. It is around this time that DearGhost, a like-minded pirate would also join RDY. Together these four players would wreak havoc and chaos on the server, causing a drop in player counts and destroying many players hopes and dreams. There was a time where AdelieXY would kill colonists as soon as they logged in. Eventually he accumulated a bounty of over 250,000 credits, the largest ever naturally accumulated on the server. He did not want to be hated by the server, but the toxicity was too much fun. Vega created an alliance with RDY during the war, and Adelie became friends with all members of Vega, playing other games such as Roblox and Hearts of Iron IV with them. During December of 2023, Adelie realized how he had become on the server, and wanted to end his toxicity. This desire created a months long dilemma that would haunt him until he eventually quit in the summer of '24.

Adelie told his good friends in RDY and Vega that he was going to do a "psy-op" on the nation of ImperialNova. AdelieXY left RDY and joined ImperialNova as a spy. During this time, Adelie saught to be liked by his old friends, and the general playerbase. AdelieXY continued to spy, and eventually joined RDY's daughter nation AndurianFederation. AdelieXY once again waged war with his allies against the server, however he chose to be less toxic towards others. Eventually upon the ending of the AndurianFederation's war, Adelie left to create his own nation, the Aschonian Republic. During this time, Adelie continued to be alligned with the new daughter nation of RDY, VaskAuthority. Adelie was a no-life for AFK-mining at this stage in his life, and accumulated over 50 million credits worth of materials from all over the galaxy. He traded with _omni to become the third player to reach level 100. The Aschonian Republic was short lived, and eventually Adelie told his friends in VA and Vega that he would be joining Orovika rather than VA when his nation collapsed. Those in the VA and Vega did not like this, and this created tension between them and Adelie. Eventually they removed Adelie from their discord chats. Adelie then ran an election, hosting a campaign speech at Orlandia before hosting an election against GutinGongoozler. Adelie won by 8 votes to become the first "president" of Horizons End. He continued to hold community events and roleplay as the "president".

Having lost his friends and being distrusted by the community, Adelie felt a lack of purpose on the server and eventually quit in June of 2024. Eventually, he came back for a few days to leak the Discord chats of his former friends by pretending to be interested in war again. These leaks caused the banning of FellOffBridge, Vandrayk, and _Clone1137, though he regrets the banning of _Clone1137 who was always kind to him and with whom who had played many games together. Adelie then left the community.
