Crafting is one of the main ways of processing / using resources, alongside Smelting and Multiblock Processing.

Some custom crafting recipes can be found here:
Crafted Resources, Power Tool Modifier, Power Armor and Power Armor Modules,
aswell as Power Drill, Power Chainsaw, Power Hoe and Player Weapons.

Crafting may processed automatically using an Auto Crafter Multiblock.
