History:
Foundation:
KINU was established as an industrial and security-oriented corporate nation on Luxiterna, the third planet of the Asteri system.
The organization’s initial development focused on the design and construction of its first spacecraft, the KEC-01 Silk, an escort corvette intended for security operations.
Following the development of the vessel, KINU established its first settlement, KinokoCS, on Luxiterna.
Early spacecraft development
The KEC-01 Silk was developed as KINU’s first escort corvette.
The vessel consists of approximately 3,917 blocks and is equipped with a combination of turret-mounted weapons, pulse cannons, torpedoes, and shield systems.
During development, the vessel underwent several combat trials, including friendly player-versus-player testing and engagements against three-star AI opponents.
Early testing revealed issues with the vessel’s weapon nodes, which prevented several weapons from operating correctly. These issues were subsequently resolved.
In later combat trials, the completed corvette successfully engaged groups of smaller AI spacecraft, including starfighters, interceptors, and scramblers.
The vessel’s defensive configuration allows its operator to redistribute incoming damage across different shielded sections of the hull.
