The battle was part of the Anti Cerberus Alliance-Cerberus Federation War.

The Battle Started when Galactic Empire officer Kiridanx alerted Emperor Thrawn31 and Separatist Alliance leader TheGamingBananaV that the Cerberus Federation had two unescorted destroyers in Trench.

Immediately afterward, Thrawn and Banana were the first to engage Cerberus in Trench in gunships. Shortly, Hextagon, who was a paid mercenary from the nation Lonestar, arrived and started drilling the Cerberus destroyers with his own destroyer, while two other Separatist gunships piloted by BobinaBlu and Gabrielhulk10 escorted Hextagon's destroyer.

The first casualty of the battle was Gabrielhulk's gunship when he flew too close to Cerberus pilot Kingsheep's destroyer. Soon after, Cerberus Federation leader MagicMasterRory's destroyer sank, while Kingsheep destroyed Separatist BobinaBlu's gunship.

As the Hextagon and the Imperial and Separatist fleets sank Kingsheep's destroyer, Cerberus reinforcements, Aine___'s 12k destroyer, VoidlessPanda's 2k gunship, and Kingsheep returning with a 1.4k gunship, entered the Trench system, but were quickly destroyed.

The third Cerberus wave consisted of MagicMasterRory back in another 12k destroyer, Wiitedo in a 4k corvette, and VoidlessPanda back in another 2k gunship. Although Hextagon's destroyer took minor hull damage, the third wave ended the battle, resulting in 0 casualties for the Anti-Cerberus Alliance, and 8 casualties for the Cerberus Federation.

Even though the Cerberus Federation had roughly 3.2x the amount of piloted blocks participating in this battle, poor organization and fleet composition, along with experienced combatants on the opposing side, resulted in the Cerberus Federation suffering 55x more casualties in block count.
