The Interdiction Well is a multiblock that creates an artificial gravity well with a set strength and radius around a starship, dependent on class. The ship classes that can use the Interdiction Wells are all the Interdictor Class Ships, the Interdictor Gunship, Interdictor Corvette, and Interdictor Destroyer. The well is activated by using the command /interdictionwell, creatng the gravity well around you until it is deactivated in some way.

Well Stats for Each Ship

Each Interdictor Class ship has different stats in terms of well range and strength.

Interdictor Gunship

  • Well Range of 500 blocks
  • Well Strength of 1

Interdictor Covette

  • Well Range of 1000 blocks
  • Well Strength of 2

Interdictor Destroyer

  • Well Range of 2000 Blocks
  • Well Strength of 3

Well/Jump Strength

Well Strength is the number for how strong gravity wells in the area are, with it's direct counterpart being Jump Strength. Jump Strength is used to jump through artificial Gravity Wells, if a ship's jump strength exceeds that of the additive total Well Strength of gravity wells affecting them. A well strength of 1 can hold down most ships until you get to Tech 1 Supercapital ships and Tech 2 Capital/Supercapital ships. Essentially, sufficiently large ships can jump through the Interdiction Well of a single Interdictor Gunships, and possibly even two gunships, or an Interdictor Corvette, but an Interdictor Destroyer can hold down all ships except for the might Lancer on it's own. The Lancer's jump strength of 5 means that you will need multiple ships to hold it down, either making use of a mix of Interdictors, or an Interdictor Destroyer and a pair of Disruptors trained on the target (or any mix thereof, including five disruptors, five gunships, or two destroyers for more area control.
