Gas power plants convert gases into power. Fuel gases generate power for every unit consumed (and do so in 250 unit chunks), and have a cooldown per operation depending on the fuel gas. Oxidizer gases apply a multiplier to the power being generated. Gas power plants can be detected with the sign text [gaspowerplant].
Gas power plants output via the front two crafting tables.
The back chest (as shown within the image) acts as the output for empty gas canisters.
A gas canister containing a fuel gas is placed in the top slot of the furnace. A gas canister containing an oxidizer gas is placed in the bottom/fuel slot.

A Gas Collector is needed to fill gas canisters. It is possible to automatically send gases to a Gas Power Plant using Pipes. Read more about this automation set up here: Nomegla's Gas Power Guide

As of the Dominion update, all Oxidizer gases are available in every Region. This means that there is not a reason to use any Oxidizer that isn't Fluorine for energy production.

The maximum gas energy per region is as follows:

Ward / Fracture: 100 E/s (Nitrogen + Fluorine)

Monolith: 133.33 E/s (Hydrogen + Fluorine)

Breach / Spine: 150 E/s (Methane + Fluorine)
