Base Defense Platforms are starships detected into the ground. They are not intentional features and are considered oversights, but they do see use in combat, and are legal.

They are known for being popularized by Vortexion, who was known for being able to build the strongest of BDPs.

Unlike most ships, there is a very broad degree of skill when it comes to designing BDPs.

BDPs can exist in both space and on planets, and are countered by supercapitals such as Cruisers or Battlecruisers

In the beginning of the server, BDPs were very commonly used, they are almost never used nowadays though.

A BDP was constructed on the border of Orlandia to constantly shoot into the settlement, it was ordered to be removed by Staff due to it being an unfair gameplay strategy.
