Area Shield
Area shields consume power to protect all blocks within its radius from explosions.
Area shields can be detected with the sign text [areashield]. Area shields input power via their note block. If an explosion occurs within the Area Shield's radius, the Area Shield loses 2 power for every block that would have been exploded. If an entity is within the Area Shield's radius and it would have been damaged by an explosion, the damage is nullified. Detonators are the exception; their explosion will bypass all area shields. Due to the nature of these multiblocks' construction, it cannot be placed on ships. These multiblocks require power to function. Follow the Power Guide for more information.
