The most basic of Starships is a platform that is comprised of 25 blocks of concrete, 74 blocks of any legal ship block, (all glass, terracotta, slabs, stairs, trapdoors, doors, redstone devices and any mineral blocks). And 1 jukebox
Such a ship will be able to fly and go back and forth between space and planets
However, it has 3 notable weaknesses
- It will not be able to protect you from suffocating in space
- It will not be able to jump through hyperspace
- It will have no shield
You can easily fix these problems by adding the multi-blocks of particle shield, thruster, navcomputer and hyperdrive, and making your ship with a roof and walls to prevent suffocating
