1) Place a sign on the weapon you want to node. This must be a wall sign, attached to the side of the “innermost” block of the weapon. For plasma cannons, pulse cannons, and Torpedos this will be the sponge block. For HLs and phasers this will be the redstone and copper block, respectively. For turrets, the [node] sign will be attached to the [turret] sign.
2) On the first line type [node]
3) On the second line write the name of the node, for example torpedo. Node names are not case-sensitive, so capitalization is unimportant.
Here is an example:
Once the sign is interacted with, it should look like so:
Weaponsets
Players can manually control weapon groups using weaponsets, accessible via the /weaponset <name> or /ws <name> commands, or through a weaponset sign. This enables the player to fire exclusively the heavy and light weapons assigned to the node in question.
1) On your bridge place a sign.
2) On the first line type [weaponset].
3) On the second line type the name of the node, for example torpedos. Once again, this is not case-sensitive.
Here is an example:
It should look like this:
4) To take control of a weaponset, right click the sign and then right/left click with a clock to fire.
/settarget
Some weapons are automatic and can be set to fire at players within range using the /settarget <node> <player> or /st <node> <player> commands. These weapons include PDCs (often called ATs), light turrets, (LTs), and Tri-Turrets (TTs).
- Turrets will only fire when within their range, and they will not lose their target until the ship is released or their target is removed with /settarget <node> or /st <node> (no player name given)
- Turrets can also be set to fire upon an enemy by shift-right-clicking on them while holding a clock named after the node you want to set.
Mining Lasers
Although they aren't meant for combat, mining lasers are controlled similarly to other weapons. The [node] sign is attached to the mining laser's sign, much like a turret. Unlike other weapons, they are toggled rather than fired in bursts/volleys.
