Frequently Asked Questions
General Starting Game Questions
What System is Best?
Depends on what you want, you can view wiki pages on all of the core systems as seen below.
Asteri: https://wiki.horizonsend.net/index.php/Asteri_System
Asteri is system thats more of a safezone, but is limited in trade cities and other fun features.
Ilios: https://wiki.horizonsend.net/index.php/Ilios_System
Ilios is a system that is less crowded historically.
Regulus: https://wiki.horizonsend.net/index.php/Regulus_System
Regulus is fairly populated historically.
Sirius: https://wiki.horizonsend.net/index.php/Sirius_System
Sirius is also fairly populated historically.
How Do I Get To X Location
This depends on where you want to go. If you are in the Transit Hub (you can look at the sidebar on the right to see TransitHub and a cardinal direction, or another location), please ask for assistance if you cannot find the sign to take you to a system of your choice (Options are Asteri, Regulus, Sirius, and Ilios). Once you are in that system, with a ship, you can travel across the galaxy. To go to a specific planet, first pilot your ship if you haven't already then, for easy use, use /route add (planet). This adds the planet to your route which should show up on the sidebar on the right side of your screen, telling you how many jumps and the next jump you must take. Then, you can use /jump auto to automatically take the next jump on the route, repeat until caught by the Gravity Well of the planet you wish to visit. If caught in a gravity well, it will tell you a message in chat about a mass shadow with a name. If that name is in fact the planet you wish to visit, look at your sidebar or the dynmap to find out which way you need to go for example, NE or Northeast 300m means you need to travel 300 blocks/meters North East to the planet.
I Can't Pilot My Ship What's Wrong?!
This depends on where you are and what the error is. Try right clicking the blue box with gray edges and corners in your ship. If a block is missing that you broke, you can either put it back or, if not touching anything flyable, redetect. To redetect, left click with your clock on the same blue box, then click redetect all the way to the left.
What Do I Do Now That I'm in a System
First thing you'll want to do is buy a ship from the Ship Dealer NPC, typical suggestions are the Vesta or the Ozark. From there you have a number of options such as doing Commissions at Trade Cities, hauling crates between trade cities, and mining ores in space or on planets. The most suggested route for a new player involves doing your 3 daily commissions as quickly as possible so as to get more money quickly. You can also look to join a settlement or nation or after making money creating your own!

How Do I Do Commissions?
You do commissions by going to Trade Cities, which are located on dynmap with big stars on different planets or listed on the wiki page for trade cities (updated occasionally). If the area around the star is red, the city is probably not active, so refrain from attempting to use it. Otherwise, fly to the planet it's on using /route add (planet) then /jump auto until you reach the planets gravity well, then /dc or /cruise into the planet (dynmap helps a lot here).
