On August 29, [[star_litty]] of Shadow was ambushed while mining in her [[Medium Freighter|medium freighter]], and the initial terms of surrender were issued by Orovika. They were as follows: To surrender a Shadow [[destroyer]] to Orovika, to return all Orovikan wrecks to Orovika, to stop attacking Orovikans immediately, and to remove Noix444 from Shadow leadership. Shadow refused, and the medium freighter was impounded.

On October 6th, MaidPierce sunk [[KR_Builder]] of Orovika in Regulus, followed by Vega creating an alliance with RentDueYesterday. Orovika called upon a stipulation created by the Alliance of Regulus to obligate other nations to join it against Vega. The [[Horizon Federation]] was rapidly created to replace the AR, with the United Federation of Planets (formerly UNSC), Sanctuary, Imperial Nova, Orovika and Arimfea joining its ranks.

For most of the war, the HF players were inexperienced with ship vs ship combat, and were inferior pilots compared to Vega. However, they possessed the advantage of numbers. HF began using <nowiki>''</nowiki>lagfleets<nowiki>''</nowiki>- huge fleets intended to lag the server, resulting in combat becoming impossible. This strategy was looked poorly upon by players, but continued to be utilized from late October to the eventual end of the war.


In early 2023, Orovika would begin making payments to the solo pirate [[Noix444]] in exchange for immunity from attacks. At 16 May 2023, Orovika decided to end the immunity payments after Noix444 substantially increased the payment amount as a result of Orovika's influx of new players.
On December 6, as player counts dropped and the HF expanded to include Shadow and New Amcar, Vortexion proposed a cease fire. Either staff enforce a clean ceasefire with no benefits for both sides, or the HF and its members quit HE for "a healthy while". It never went through, and on the following day (December 7) Vega announced plans to leave the conflict, allowing the HF to gain the upper hand.


On 22 August 2023, Noix444, as a member of [[Shadow]]'s leadership, attacked [[Oliveburger22]], following an attack on the pirate [[BrooklynSupreme]] by GenBukkit on 20 August 2023. A state of war was declared after.
The nation Sanctuary was founded December 12 by [[VoidsentRose]].


[[xlink97]] would defect from Orovika to assist Shadow in the war around 27 August 2023. Shadow began employing Arimfean mercenaries, most notably [[FellOffBridge]] and [[AdelieXY]], the same day.

On February 5, the Horizon Federation officially dissolved due to the dissolution of RDY.


On 31 August 2023, Orovika attempted to hire FellOffBridge as a mercenary. Later in battle the same day, FellOffBridge would demand more payment to remain on Orovika's side, and would go on to assist Shadow fighters in the sinking of two Orovikan frigates when his demands were not met. Orovika would instead employ [[MaidPierce]] of [[Vega]] as a mercenary
On February 11, the Andurian-Arimfean conflict began, and on February 26, Imperial Nova intervened on Arimfea's side.


The largest battle of the war occurred on 3 September 2023, when an Orovikan frigate, three Orovikan gunships, and MaidPierce's mercenary gunship fought two Arimfean mercenary frigates and four Shadow gunships in Aret's orbit. The battle ended in an Orovikan victory after all Shadow gunships were sunk, and AdelieXY's frigate was temporarily immobilized and damaged by a ramming attack by gregolegomonkey's gunship, after which both ships were sunk.
On February 19, the settlement Royalties and its nation, the [[Vexor|Federation of Vixeria]], later known as Vexor, was founded by BelobLV. Around the same time, the Andurian-Arimfean conflict ended.


On 7 September 2023, Shadow was presented with terms for surrender, identical to those offered on 29 August 2023. Ae0n rejected the terms on 10 September 2023, demanding weekly immunity payments of 15,000c per Orovikan player so they could avoid being attacked by Shadow. In response, Orovika adopted a doctrine of total war against all members of Shadow; attacks had previously been restricted to primarily Shadow combatants and their employed Arimfean mercenaries.

On June 11, the [[Ilios Alliance-Vask Authority War]] began due to a pirating attempt by DearGhost of the VA on a Novan member resulted in rapid mobilization of the Novan navy against them. DearGhost fled to [[Apollyon]], where a battle commenced.


On June 22-25 [[Woolworths Production Complex|Woolworth's]] began construction as a major project by CDM.


On June 26, the [[Battle of Asteri]] started with the Ilios Alliance attempting to sink VA’s [[battlecruiser]] [[ARMAGEDDON]], which IA's [[yodabird19]] of Cortesia Del Mar claimed was running on fumes. The battle was a decisive Vegan and VA victory, with only 354 blocks lost. It is often regarded as the biggest battle in Horizons End history, involving 20 ships.

Due to Ae0ns inactivity and other reasons, the [[Radiant Revolution|Radiance Revolution]] occured on July 3, putting star_litty in charge of Shadow's successor, [[Radiance]]. This new nation is recognized by the Ilios Alliance as the inheritor of Shadow's diplomatic relations.

Some time in November, Amcar's capital purged, leading to the entire city getting stripped of its resources. 15 minutes later, it was reclaimed and the Amcar Remnant reformed.

November 23, Carthage gained trade city status under Echelon.

December 30, Primordial's capital purged, and the nation vanished.

2023

Early Semi-Peace

Echelon renamed to Vega on January 4th, 2023.

The Coalition Against Piracy disbanded in early 2023, and some time after that, the Aret Treaty Organization formed with Orovika, Amcar, and Imperial Nova as its founding members.

February 6th, Carthage left Vega and formed the Republic Of Carthage, beginning one of HEs largest nations to this day.

During March, it's assumed Detreus renamed to Arimfea.

On April 11, Amcar merged with Orovika due to them having similar interests, and for Orovika’s protection.

On April 27, the Shadow Crew, previously on a server called PirateCraft, joined Horizons End, creating Shadow. They mainly made bases throughout Ilios.

While records aren't exact, the first iteration of The Galactic Empire was established by D_Dazzle by late May.

Early June, Orimium launched OriMart, a website where you can buy ships and speeders.

June 25, Amcar territories left Orovika, creating New Amcar.

June 28, UnitedGalacticFemboys disbanded, with Astolfo joining Orovika.

Orovika began recruiting and expanding its sphere of influence by recruiting Haven and Setra Maria on July 3rd, however, on July 19th, Haven was kicked out due to complicating Orovika and Arimfea's relationship. It is assumed GenBukkit also joined Orovika again.

Late June to early July, it’s assumed Luxivitas was founded.

Early July, it's assumed the Aret Treaty Organization disbanded.

Alliance of Regulus-Vega War

Main article: Alliance of Regulus-Vega War

19th of July, the Alliance of Regulus formed for the purpose of combating Vega.

Very little is formally recorded on this conflict, other than the fact that the Alliance declared victory.

The war ended on September 10.

Shadow-Orovika War and other events

Main article: Shadow-Orovika War

August 20, Genbukkit of Orovika attacked BrooklynSupreme of Shadow, sparking the beginning of the Orovika-Shadow War.

August 22, Noix444 of Shadow pirated Oliveburger22 of Orovika. After this, Ae0n of Shadow declared a state of war against Orovika.

xlink97 defected from Orovika on August 27. Shadow began employing Arimfean mercenaries, most notably FellOffBridge and AdelieXY, on the same day.

On August 29, star_litty of Shadow was ambushed while mining in her medium freighter, and the initial terms of surrender were issued by Orovika. They were as follows: To surrender a Shadow destroyer to Orovika, to return all Orovikan wrecks to Orovika, to stop attacking Orovikans immediately, and to remove Noix444 from Shadow leadership. Shadow refused, and the medium freighter was impounded.

On August 31, Orovika tried to hire FellOffBridge as a mercenary. Later that day, during combat, FellOffBridge demanded extra payment, or he would switch sides. Orovika refused and FellOffBridge went assist Shadow fighters in sinking two Orovikan frigates. Orovika from then on used MaidPierce of Vega as a mercenary.

The largest battle of the war occurred on September 3 in Aret's orbit. The battle was an Orovikan victory after all of Shadow's ships were sunk and AdelieXY's frigate was rammed by gregolegomonkey's gunship, preventing it from moving. This led to both ships sinking.

On September 7th, Shadow was offered a surrender with the same terms as previously offered, but Shadow declined. This led to Orovika adopting a doctrine of total war against Shadow, with them sinking not just Shadow combatants, but also civilian ships.

On September 16th, Orovika outlawed collaboration with pirates.

Until the end of the war, Shadow freighters were constantly sunk. Shadow surrendered on September 29, marking the end of the war.

Horizon Federation-RentDueYesterday War Starts

Main article: Horizon Federation-RentDueYesterday War

After the war with Shadow, FellOffBridge and other Arimfean mercenaries left Arimfea, creating RentDueYesterday so they could freely engage in piracy after being restricted by Vortexion on September 20.

RentDueYesterday, following the Orovika-Shadow War, began attacking Imperial Nova and Orovika, leading to the creation of an informal Anti-Piracy alliance on September 29th.

Also September 29, Setra Maria left Orovika to become Cortesia Del Mar.

Tensions continued escalating, primarily at the Arimfean station Fortitude. At the time, Arimfea had a no-fire rule at Fortitude, however, after diplomatic pressure and FellOffBridge abusing it, Vortexion changed the rule to prevent warships from entering on October 5.

On October 6th, MaidPierce sunk KR_Builder of Orovika in Regulus, followed by Vega creating an alliance with RentDueYesterday. Orovika called upon a stipulation created by the Alliance of Regulus to obligate other nations to join it against Vega. The Horizon Federation was rapidly created to replace the AR, with the United Federation of Planets (formerly UNSC), Sanctuary, Imperial Nova, Orovika and Arimfea joining its ranks.

For most of the war, the HF players were inexperienced with ship vs ship combat, and were inferior pilots compared to Vega. However, they possessed the advantage of numbers. HF began using ''lagfleets''- huge fleets intended to lag the server, resulting in combat becoming impossible. This strategy was looked poorly upon by players, but continued to be utilized from late October to the eventual end of the war.

On December 6, as player counts dropped and the HF expanded to include Shadow and New Amcar, Vortexion proposed a cease fire. Either staff enforce a clean ceasefire with no benefits for both sides, or the HF and its members quit HE for "a healthy while". It never went through, and on the following day (December 7) Vega announced plans to leave the conflict, allowing the HF to gain the upper hand.

The nation Sanctuary was founded December 12 by VoidsentRose.

2024

RDY-HF War Concludes

Prior to the end of the war, on January 3rd, the AI Update was released, adding AI starships to the server.

On January 8th, the RDY-HF war ended, marking the end of the server's biggest conflict. FellOffBridge left RDY and joined Vega, leaving pqio with leadership, who turned it into the Andurian Federation.

Arimfea-Andurian Federation Conflict

On February 5, the Horizon Federation officially dissolved due to the dissolution of RDY.

On February 11, the Andurian-Arimfean conflict began, and on February 26, Imperial Nova intervened on Arimfea's side.

On February 19, the settlement Royalties and its nation, the Federation of Vixeria, later known as Vexor, was founded by BelobLV. Around the same time, the Andurian-Arimfean conflict ended.

Peaceful Times and the Ilios Alliance

On March 26 Cicatrix was made, then called Cherrytown.

On April 18, the Vaskian Trade Federation was created by Kingsheep3 and GalaxyGaming_MC.

After Ae0n went inactive, star_litty assumed de-facto leadership of Shadow, and created the Ilios Alliance with Orovika and Cortesia Del Mar on April 23.

On May 3rd, FellOffBridge left Vega and assumed ownership of the Andurian Federation, turning it into the Vask Authority, a piracy oriented nation, and z4nityy is assumed to have joined the VA around this time.

On May 11, Haven left Arimfea, wanting independence.

On May 13, the Vask Authority resumed piracy.

On May 19, Inverted_Y was founded on Kovfefe by CZ10_XP, at the time named Tractor_Cult.

On May 20, the Supercapital Update was released.

On June 5 Ekatera was founded by Blackular and Avan_Brightearth

The VTF elected to join Ekatara for benefits for both sides on June 10.

Ilios Alliance-Vask Authority War

Main article: Ilios Alliance-Vask Authority War

Imperial Nova and Arimfea were admitted to the Ilios Alliance on June 10.

Also on June 10, the Republic Of Carthage declared war on the Vask Authority after members were attacked by VA pirates.

On June 11, the Ilios Alliance-Vask Authority War began due to a pirating attempt by DearGhost of the VA on a Novan member resulted in rapid mobilization of the Novan navy against them. DearGhost fled to Apollyon, where a battle commenced.

On June 22-25 Woolworth's began construction as a major project by CDM.

On June 26, the Battle of Asteri started with the Ilios Alliance attempting to sink VA’s battlecruiser ARMAGEDDON, which IA's yodabird19 of Cortesia Del Mar claimed was running on fumes. The battle was a decisive Vegan and VA victory, with only 354 blocks lost. It is often regarded as the biggest battle in Horizons End history, involving 20 ships.

Due to Ae0ns inactivity and other reasons, the Radiance Revolution occured on July 3, putting star_litty in charge of Shadow's successor, Radiance. This new nation is recognized by the Ilios Alliance as the inheritor of Shadow's diplomatic relations.

On July 15, Setra Maria is transferred to yodabird19 by Oko.

The next day, July 16, VA's ARMAGEDDON is captured by _omni of Orovika after a fight in space with z4nityy in a starfighter.

On July 26, the Vask Authority battlecruiser CATACLYSM was sunk, marking a major loss for Vask Authority.

On July 29, a ceasefire was agreed upon between the IA and VA after both sides are exhausted, but negotiations stalled because the IA thought Vask Authority couldn’t uphold a treaty.

The IA-VA war concludes, and the Long Peace Era

Main article: Long Peace

The VA leak happened on August 5, exposing bigoted and harassing messages from Vask Authority members, and leading to all of VA except for z4nityy to be banned. This caused the war to abruptly end.

On August 5, The Long Peace began. z4nityy still pirated as before, but on a much smaller scale.

Throughout August, Woolworths is brought online, becoming the server's biggest factory yet.

On October 8, Shadow's last remaining settlement purges, and the nation is lost.

After complaints of poor performance, Cortesian leadership struck a deal with staff to lower Woolworths' time spent being loaded in due to it lagging the server on October 9.

Inverted_Y disbanded on October 14.

Lonestar was founded on October 19 by SIG130. Lonestar will later become one of the biggest modern powers in HE.

On October 27, Astolfo left Orovika to join Radiance.

on November 17, the Nova-Luxit war begins, as the UFP purged and the ULS claimed their capital on Aret. The war ended three weeks later.

December 8 The Nova-Luxit war ends.
