Ascendant Nova, Imperial Nova, or Nova, is a large military-focused nation on Horizon's End. It had morphed into Vikyria while still called Imperial Nova, before returning on July 28th as Ascendant Nova.

Ascendant Nova and Imperial Nova will both be used in this articles to denote the time period of pre or post Vikyria.

Imperial Nova was a founding member of the Horizon Federation, and were associated with the Ilios Alliance during the war. They are notable for their aggressive negotiation strategies and militaristic nature. Ascendant Nova is also very notable for their unconventional white-hulled starships, and is one of the oldest nations on the server.

Imperial Nova had a sharp increase in wealth during the Long Peace after the Ilios Alliance-Vask Authority War with help from Pryvyd.

Orlandia

The City of Orlandia is a Trade City on the planet Aret. It was the capital city of Imperial Nova, then the capital of Vikyria, before returning as the capital of Ascendant Nova. The whole city was built on a massive artificial sea, Ikaria Sea.

Helios

Helios was a Novan settlement on the planet Aret, led by SammaSystem. It is connected to Orlandia by a ~2 km bridge across the Ikaria Sea The city is very small and still developing.

Miami

Miami is a very large space station in northeastern Regulus, owned by the nation Ascendant Nova and built by _Longy. It is one the server's largest space stations, and is used to house the main fleet of Ascendant Nova.

Crimson Palace

Crimson Palace is a large asteroid station in Regulus near Gahara, owned by the player Pryvyd. It is used to be used used as one of the main production facilities and storage depots of Imperial Nova, before Pryvyd joined Lonestar.

Politics

Ascendant Nova's system of government is a direct autocracy where one leader (The Emperor) controls most of the decisions, but chooses to delegate power among other members, with military decisions made by the second in command. Ascendant Nova stores its resources and wealth in a centralized system of banks, and distributes the resources among members.

Military

Ascendant Nova has a very large military, as they are a military focused nation. (Needs verification after secession from Vikyria)

It is believed that Nova at one point had a fleet of 3 Battlecruisers. However, two of these are confirmed to be destroyed, this includes: The NIF Repentance; destroyed in the Battle of Skull Crusher's Barge, and the NIF Absolution; destroyed in the Battle of Presidia Alenarith. They have however hinted at the possibility of more Battlecruisers having been constructed aside from the known 3, however this is not confirmed.

Their fleet at one point used the prefix "N.I.F." standing for: "Novan Imperial Fleet".
