A shuttle is the lowest tier for a civilian ships. A shuttle can be

  • minimum of 100 blocks
  • maximum of 1,000 blocks
  • Cannot use turrets
  • Is the fastest tier of civilian starship

The shuttle is a great beginner ship, and the Vesta that new players receive at the spawn zone is a shuttle. A shuttle is a good all-around vessel that can be used for transporting animals, crating mining and hunting AI ships.


A shuttle is available to all players no matter what Horizon end level you're at


Tips[edit | edit source]

  • While it's useful and important to learn Crate hauling, you can gain levels faster by hunting AI. It's therefore worth it to either create or modify yourself a shuttle to have better weapons
  • For the same reason as above, it's worth it to increase the speed on your ship by adding a few more afterburners
  • It's worth modifying the Vesta that you get at the start to have a tier 2 navigation computer and a tier 2 hyperdrive to go faster, for the same cost of chetherite
  • When making a new ship, it is worth making a shield first and then fitting your shuttle into the zone of the shield
