Space is the medium that separates planets and other celestial bodies.

Playable areas of space (called Systems) are connected by hyperspace beacons, also called Jump Gates. Planets, stars, and asteroids can be found in most systems and can be traveled to via starship. If you zoom out a bit, Systems are located within Regions, which are the boundaries for the aptly named Regional Bazaar, and have certain other properties associated with them. Going further in, several systems, namely Asteri, Sirius, Regulus, and Ilios have planets in them which you can fly explore and create settlements, visit Trade Cities, and more!

While in space:

  • Players and items float
  • Players not wearing a space suit or wearing power armor with the Pressure Field Module will take suffocation damage
  • NPC ships may spawn near you (especially if piloted) and attempt to engage in combat
