Scrambler Incident

The Scrambler Incident was a major engagement in the Lonestar-Vega War. It took place most prominently in the Claimable System LM-77, owned at the time by Partisan Front.

Pre-Engagement

Prior to the engagement, Kingsheep3 of CTF started a siege on the Fuel Depot in Conduit. Vega moved to defend the objective in multiple Tech-2 Corvettes, and began moving a larger ship into the system to recuperate points. Although they successfully eliminated enemy combatants, Vega was unable to gather enough points in time, and lost the beacon. Coming off of this loss, Vega decided to counter-siege both Regional Objectives in Axis, which were owned by Lonestar at the time.

Axis Siege

Sieges on both Axis Beacons were started by Vega and Oblivion, in a Heavy Freighter (GriffMinester) and Battlecruiser (FellOffBridge) respectively. Deciding to form and counter the siege, Lonestar deployed two of their own Supercapital ships to counter the Vegan Battlecruiser. Once Lonestar's forces reached the Scramblers placed in nearby systems, FellOffBridge and NoMoreThumbs utilized their Jump Field Generators to escape Axis, leaving behind GriffMinester to be killed by Lonestarian forces. The remaining Scramblers in Axis jumped out to the LM-77 gate, attempting to catch any ships behind the Lonestar fleet (Which won them SmartflyngWarior's Logistics Corvette and ShadowProXX3000's Stasis Corvette). Due to a delayed response by Lonestar, who could not gather enough points before the siege ended, Vega successfully captured both Regional Objectives.

The Scrambler Incident

Upon leaving the Axis System, Lonestar's forces were met with 3 Scramblers in LM-77, piloted by Aviforma, SmellyBigBro, and Jangiot. Over the next 5 minutes, 4 more Scramblers joined the engagement after Vegan pilots reshipped in a nearby system. While they could not realistically hold down Lonestar's Battlecruiser or Cruiser because of their small Disruption ranges and the ships' Jump Field Generators, Vegan forces held down and eliminated the remainders of the countersiege forces of lonestar, comprised of a mix of Tech-2 Corvettes. After these casualties, Lonestar then deployed an additional 4 Stasis Corvettes to LM-77, which were eliminated by the Vegan Scramblers, much too maneuverable to be caught without strong fleet cohesion, in what could only be described as a massacre.
