The Assault Corvette is a Tech 2 variant of the Corvette, designed in part to counter its cousin the Logistics Corvette. This ship has Gauss Cannons, for punching up, and the Neutralizer, which weakens enemy regen. This allows it to counter fleets relying on regen provided from a logistics ship, or countering ships that heavily rely on their ability to regen shields, rather than shield strength itself. That being said, it itself has weak regen, leaving it vulnerable to enemies itself if not helped by allied logistics support.
