Weaponsets and Nodes are used to control a player defined set of starship weapons.

A player can only control one weaponset at a time. Each weaponset can control multiple light weapon types and one heavy weapon type, though it is recommended that no more than one light weapon type be used in a weaponset at once. Mining lasers can also be controlled using weaponsets, and these weaponsets should not include light or heavy weapons to avoid blowing up where the mining lasers are mining.

Weaponsets that control nodes attached to Point Defense Turrets, Light Turrets, and Tri Turrets can automatically fire on player or ship targets designated using /settarget [node] [player] or /st [node] [player].

To take or release control of a weaponset in a piloted starship, use /weaponset [name] or right click on a weaponset sign.

Weaponset signs can be created writing [weaponset] on the first line of a sign and the name of the weaponset on the second line. Weaponsets are not case sensitive.

Nodes[edit | edit source]

Nodes are placed on starship weapons to link them to a weaponset.

To create a node, place a sign on the appropriate part of a weapon multiblock and write [node] on the first line and the name of the weaponset on the second line; additional weaponsets may be written on the third and fourth lines. Multiple node signs can be placed on a single weapon if space allows.

Node signs can be placed on any side face of the appropriate part of a weapon multiblock, and cannot be placed on the top or bottom of the block or sign. Locations for the node sign are as follows:
