NPC Ships

NPC ships (more commonly referred to as AI ships) are ships found across the galaxy. Sometimes, they will spawn near a player, otherwise they also spawn at loci (located in Deep Space and must be scanned down in the Dominion Update, until then they are just randomly around the galaxy).

Loci

Loci are locations such as Privateer Naval Drills, or Tsaii War Bands, where ships of the loci's faction will spawn. The spawn rate is based on the number of player pilots in the radius and the ship difficulty scales with the loci difficulty rating. Players can enter the radius (which counts as a gravity well) to start spawning in enemy ships to fight.
