The Assault Destroyer is a Tech 2 variant of the Destroyer, being a strong and slow moving Capital ship. This ship is designed to be a heavy-hitter, the flagship of all Assault Ships, using Heavy Neutralizers to weaken its enemies' regen, then hitting them with neverending volleys of Assault Turrets. This ship can go toe-to-toe with larger ships such as the Missile Cruiser at times, given that it keeps its distance and/or has adequate Support backing it. This ship also has very strong shields, aiding in its ability to fight larger ships. However, its weapons have slow firing velocities, meaning the ship struggles against smaller ships.

History
The Assault Destroyer was the first tech-2 Capital ship to sink, credited to lonestar in a fight against WitherV of Oblivion in defense of a siege against Partisan Front's Regional Objectives by lonestar and Fortuna Sequence in Sunder, July of 2026, WitherV's Assault Destroyer was sunk by a fleet of 2x Assault Gunships, 2x Stasis Corvettes, a Destroyer, and a Scrambler, in an attack lead by Artfulwarrior13.
