Frigates are a versatile ship class with consistent DPS. They are generalized starships good for shooting targets big and small.
Frigates are countered by Attack Destroyers, Destroyers, Cruisers, and Battlecruisers. Frigates are a counter to Corvettes.
History
During the very beginning of the server, few nations ever had frigates. Nowadays they are a staple of any nation's fleet.
Subclasses
The Light Frigate "4.9k", usually 4,893-4,899 Blocks. Equipped with phasers; ideal for kiting tactics against large, slow opponents.
The Attack Frigate "6.5k", usually 6,500 Blocks. Specialized craft that can utilize Heavy Turrets and Phasers alike to eliminate enemies.
The Heavy Frigate "8k", usually 8,000 Blocks. Hefty capital ships that utilize enhanced shields to defend critical components.
