The Tutorial is a place on Horizon’s End where you spawn in where you log on for the first time. It serves to teach the player the basics of Starship movement and operation of Hyperdrives.
Content
You spawn in a large ship structure, taking the form of a large civilian transport starship. A message in chat tells you the ship is attacked by Pirates and you need to evacuate.
It guides you to an escape pod ship where the player meets an assistant named J.A.N.E. that shows them how to fly the escape pod. The basics of Shift-flying and Cruise are taught here.
Once you are a sufficient distance away from the ship, J.A.N.E instructs you on how to load a Hyperdrive with Chetherite and tells you to jump to the Horizon Transit Hub beacon. After you have used the beacon, you will spawn at the Horizon Transit Hub, where you can choose which Core System to start in. This will spawn you at the Port for the chosen Core System, where there is a Ship Dealer who you can purchase one of 3 Starter Ships from.
