Light Gunships are a subclass of Gunships whose small size, fast speed, and ability to fire Pulse Cannons and Heavy Lasers gives them the ability to intercept and destroy Starfighters, Interceptors, and Tackle Gunships. Their inability to use Light Turrets reduces their combat effectiveness against smaller ships, and their low block count and shield strength makes them easily countered by full size gunships.
